2010-2011 NBA Season’s potential breakout players (Part 2)
The Indiana Pacers point guard, Darren Collison, comes in next in the line of players, who are expected to have a breakout season. Last year was more of a getting mature season for this extravagant player as he exploited his abilities to the fullest and grew as he was given more and more playing time. Darren showed what he could do with the talent that he has by grabbing the opportunity and utilizing the time that he was given due to Paul getting injured. Darren showed small plays of pleasure and brilliance. However, experts say that he is one of the most talented players in the NBA and will surely reach great heights. Experts are expecting him to come up with statistics of 15 points per game and 7 assists per game.
Marcus Thornton is another player, who plays in the shooting guard position with the New Orleans Hornets. This splendid player is one future breakout player as he also has greatly benefited from injuries. The last part of the season saw him improve a great deal and put up quite a show, with almost 20 points per game. During the time when he was playing, Chris Paul was out due to injury. Now that he is fit, experts think that the combination could make something happen. Both the players with their abilities and capabilities would be able to create opportunities and point scoring positions for the other players and themselves. Experts suggest that this player has the capacity to come up with 16 points per game heading into the new season carrying his previous month’s form into the 2010-11Season.
Next player in line, who is expected to impress the fans, coaches and players, is the Detroit Pistons power forward, Jonas Jerebko. The power forward is part of a team which has too many guards in the team. This ensures the fact that he will be having majority of the minutes in the team and will be looking to make the most of it as this will develop him into a better player and in future according to experts a superstar. The All-Rookie selection according to experts has got what it takes to become the leader of the pack and lead the rest. This along with the fact that he has got excellent technique further cements his position as one of the best in the business. Improving on the previous seasons 10 points per game and 6 rebounds per game, the experts predict that this player will be improving to 13 points per game and 8 rebounds per game.
Jru Holiday is the last player, who we will be mentioned in this list. Jru Holiday plays in the point guard position for the Philadelphia 76ers, and last year put up performances that he used during his time in college. Last season saw him average 8 points per game and 4 assists per game. Holiday was one of the top picks and his big body and excellent scoring abilities being the reason. This fabulous player has excellent shooting when it comes to the three pointers and had a 39 percent success rate last season. Experts say that this player is surely to increase his abilities and add some more to the many he already has. They also expect this player to turn into one of the big men in the NBA. All he needs is some time and a little more experience. The experts have projected his statistics during the 2010-11 Season to be 14 points per game and 6 assists per game.
