2010/2011 season summary – Barcelona (Part 1)
The Catalan Giants won a European double after they managed to win the Spanish La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in a single season.
In June Barcelona took a fine start as the summer transfer window opened up and it took the Catalan Giants only three days to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 for 40 million Euros. The Spanish Champions earned 444.5 million Euros in the 2009/2010 season and it really helped them pay off for the Spanish striker.

With August starting, Barcelona had to face Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup. It was a shock well received as it was the first home loss for the Catalan Giants in approximately one and a half year of league play.

As the tackle was seen in the replays, many thought that Messi would have broken his ankle and he would be out for at least six months. However, the doctors soon told the press that the Argentine only suffered a sprain in his internal and external ankle ligaments.
