2010/2011 season summary – Barcelona (Part 2)
As October kicked off, the Spanish Champions discovered that the club had suffered a loss worth 80 million Euros. The former president Laporta insisted that the “new board” was at fault and the club deserves a better board.
Soon, it was realized that the club had taken the loss because the income was relatively less than the expenses and even though the income was steady at about 35.5 million Euros, the deficit between income and expenses was about 59.1 million Euros.

A lot of criticism was received as these three were named the top three players of the world. Many thought that the Dutch midfielder and the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 should have been included in the top three.
On January 10th 2011, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Switzerland-c3016 for the second time in a row. The Argentine was given the award after managing to score 47 goals in only 53 games during the 2009/2010 season.
With Lionel Messi becoming the best player of the year 2010, Andres Iniesta was given the second best player award while Xavi Hernandez was named the third best player of the year.
