2010 Alfred Dunhill Championship live leader board
Alfred Dunhill Championship has kicked off at the Leopard Creek Country Club, with its star stellar field.
Anthony Michael is currently in the lead with a score of six-under after seventeen holes. Two strokes behind is Alvaro Velasco and Robert Rock. Velasco, who hails from Spain is one hole away from the clubhouse and has compiled a score of four-under. Meanwhile,
Rock has completed fourteen holes and is proceeding towards the last four holes with a score similar to the Spaniard.
Two stroked below is a group of seven players, which includes TC Charamba. The Zimbabwean has completed the first eleven holes of the par-72 course and is 2-under-par.
On the 11th spot of the leader board are eleven players of mixed nationalities. Jbe' Kruger and Jean Hugo are one-under after 17
and 15 holes respectively.
A dozen players are hovering on the brink of danger with scores at par;
Daniel Greene, Bradford Vaughan, James Kamte, Michael Hoey, Damien McGrane, Marcel Siem, Charl Coetzee, Deane Pappas, Jacques Blaauw, Ulrich van den Berg, Gregory Molteni, and Prinavin Nelson.
Oliver Bekker has completed the first round and is hanging on the 32nd spot with a score of 73.
Warren Abery and Justin Harding are following the footsteps that of the rookie, thereby, are one-over after fifteen holes each.
Wallie Coetsee (75), Henk Alberts (76), Neil Schietekat (77), and Matthew Baldwin (77) have completed the first eighteen holes and have proceeded towards the clubhouse.
Steve Surry is sitting on the lowest spot of the leader board with a score, which is no more in the realms of par, although he started out very fine. Surry is 10-over-par after seventeen holes.
The first round scores give a clear view of the level of difficulty faced by the field. The tournament is the second last event on the Sunshine Tour and is being hosted by the Leopard Creek, which is known for its ravines, crocodiles, lakes and bunkered
greens. The event carrying a purse of €1 million is about to step in the second round and chances are those halves of the field will not be able to finish at par.
