2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series – Boston Bruins play host to the Philadelphia Flyers

The 423rd game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series will be hosted in the city of Boston. The match is scheduled to take place between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Boston Bruins. The teams have already clashed once out of the four times
they were scheduled to meet. The first match saw the Boston Bruins totally dominate and come up with a 3-0 win. The Boston Bruins goalkeeper Tim Thomas came up with a gem of performance in the match, as he made 41 saves and kept the clean sheet intact.
The match is expected to be a very exciting bout as it is a competition between two of the best teams. One team excels in defence, while the other dominates the offence. The Philadelphia Flyers have scored the most goals in the season so far. On the other
hand the Boston Bruins have conceded only 51 goals in the season. The Philadelphia Flyers are coming up against some of the toughest encounters of the season, with the first match against the Boston Bruins. The next match will be against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The final game of the stretch will see them playing against the Montreal Canadiens. The Philadelphia Flyers lost the match against the San Jose Sharks but managed to win against another team at Toronto, this Thursday. Danny Briere told CSNPhilly.com,
"It was a chance for a little bit of redemption," "We wanted to shut the game down and not give them too much, and I thought we did a much better job tonight. Still little plays here and there that we have to improve on, but it was definitely a step in the
right direction."
The Philadelphia Flyers have played 30 games so far, out of which they have won 23 games. On the other hand, the Boston Bruins have played 27 games so far, out of which they have won 18 games and have scored 35 points.Boston Bruins have been in great form
recently and the last match that they won against the New York Islanders, saw Milan Lucic score two goals in the match. This player has been in great form currently, scoring five goals in the last of the four games.
Lucic didn’t have the best of starts to his career as he scored only 27 goals. However, this time out he has managed to score 15 goals out of the 27 games played. So far he has 27 points and is in a strong position to beat his total of 45 points, last season.
Lucic told reporters Thursday night,
“I am taking advantage of my opportunities right now, and it's also nice to have a little luck. It's a credit to my line mates. They are finding me when I am open."
Ahead of the match, the Flyers star player Danny Briere has scored four goals in the last four games, which will give them a great of boost. The Boston Bruins on the other hand don’t have any player to match him but the best of the lot is David Krejci, who
has scored two goals and seven assists in the last seven games he has played.
