2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series – Boston Bruins win 5-2 against the Buffalo Sabres
The Boston Bruins versus the Buffalo Sabres was one of the high scoring matches on Wednesday. The match took place at the home of the Buffalo Sabres at the HSBC Arena with around 18,000 fans that came to witness the match. If we talk about the 2010 Compuware
NHL Premiere Series then it was the 164th game. While it was the 9th game for the Boston Bruins and the 13th game for the Buffalo Sabres in the Series thus far. The game saw the away team, Boston Bruins score thrice in the
opening period and then win the game at the end with the score 5-2.
1st Period
The Boston Bruins started off in spectacular fashion as they attacked right from the word go. They didn’t think about what would happen and attacked with full force. The home team was surprised to see such a huge attack at the start of the match and they
had no answer to it.

2nd Period
The Boston Bruins carried their momentum into the 2nd period and came close to scoring in the opening minute. They made several chances for themselves and they scored to take the score to 4-0 in the 3rd minute.
The goal was scored by Michael Ryder from a flick shot from 21 feet. With this goal, the already silent home crowd was seen starting to leave. However, for fans who stayed there backing their home team got to see a goal in the 17th minute. The
goal was scored by Drew Stafford from a powerful strike 11 feet away from goal. With this goal, the score was 4-1 in favour of the Boston Bruins. During the course of the 2nd period, neither of the teams dominated play for a long time period. Both
teams lost possession at the crucial stage which resulted in no goal in the later part of the period.

3rd Period
