2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series – Chicago Blackhawks win 3-2 against Anaheim Ducks
The Anaheim Ducks vs. Chicago Blackhawks match was the 247th game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series. The match was played at the United Centre past Sunday, the home of defending champions Chicago Blackhawks. There were around 21,000 fans that came in support of their respective teams, cheering them to victory.
Both the teams made decent start to the match as they fired shots at the opposing goal every now and then. The home team was content on taking the lead so that they could concentrate on the defence. They finally took the lead with a goal in the 4th minute.
The goal was scored by Patrick Kane through a powerful strike during power play. The Anaheim Ducks were able to respond to this with good strong attacks and managed to bag a goal to level the score in the 5th minute. The goal was scored by Corey Perry through a quick fired shot.
There were no further goals and the period ended with both teams tied up at 1-1. During the course of the period the Chicago Blackhawks made 13 goal attempts and the Anaheim Ducks made 10 goal attempts.
The away team made good few early shots but after that it was the home team that dominated the play. The Chicago Blackhawks managed to capitalize from the plays. The home team was able to score and take the lead in the 12th minute. The goal was scored by Marian Hossa through a backhand shot to score the only goal of the period.  
The period ended with the Chicago Blackhawks in the lead at 2-1. During the course of the period the Chicago Blackhawks made 16 goal attempts while the Anaheim Ducks made 6 goal attempts.
The Anaheim Ducks were quick out off the blocks in the final period and scored in the 4th minute to level the score. The goal was scored by Corey Perry through a flick shot that was perfectly placed. The period came to an end with the scores level at 2-2. During the final period, the Anaheim Ducks made 7 goal attempts while the Chicago Blackhawks made 9 goal attempts.
However, the Chicago Blackhawks scored in the 5th minute to win the match 3-2. The goal was scored by Viktor Stalberg trhough a flick shot.
"It's nice winning at home," Chicago Coach Joel Quenneville said. "That was a nice feeling. After the game you assess how you play, and I thought that was probably as good of a game as we've played all year."
