2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series – Chicago Blackhawks win 7-1 against the Vancouver Canucks

The 292nd game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series saw the defending champions Chicago Blackhawks up against the Vancouver Canucks. The match was played at the Rogers Arena this Saturday in front of 19,000 fans. The game saw the Chicago
Blackhawks play the 23rd game of the campaign while the             Vancouver Canucks played their 19th game of the season thus far.
The first period of the match saw both the teams start the game with attacking moves but they failed to score during the course of the period. Both the teams got into scoring positions frequently but they couldn’t score.
There were several occasions on which either of the teams seemed very likely to score but they were either denied by the goal keeper or the shot went wide off the goal. The period ended with the scores deadlocked at 0-0 as the Chicago Blackhawks made 10

The 2nd period of the match saw the defending champions score in the 5th minute to take the lead. The goal was scored by Jonathan Toews. The Chicago Blackhawks continued to attack and scored once again in the 8th minute to
double the lead. The goal was scored by Troy Brouwer from a brilliant flick shot.
The away team scored once again in the 14th minute to take the score to 3-0 in their favour. The goal was scored by Brent Seabrook from a powerful strike. The away team sealed the match according to many with a goal in the 16th minute
which was the final and the 4th goal of the period. The goal was scored by Patrick Sharp as the period ended 4-0 in favour of the away side.
The final period of the match saw the Chicago Blackhawks continue with the dominating performance they showed in the previous period and scored in the 5th minute. The goal was scored by Fernando Pisani from powerful strike. The Blackhawks scored
once again in the 6th minute to take the score to 6-0 with the goal scored by Fernando Pisani.
Patrick Kane scored in the 12th minute once again to take the score to 7-0. The Vancouver Canucks managed to score their only goal in the 14th minute through Mikael Samuelsson from a flick shot as the Chicago Blackhawks won the match
7-1.
During the course of the match the Chicago Blackhawks made 41 goal attempts while the Vancouver Canucks made 28 goal attempts.
