2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series: Dallas Stars win 2-1 against Anaheim Ducks
The final game of Tuesday was Dallas Stars versus Anaheim Ducks, played at the American Airlines Centre, home of Dallas, in front of 13,000 fans. This was the 256th game of 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series as Ducks played their 20th
game while Stars their 16th of the season thus far.
The 1st period started with the away team quickly out of the blocks. But, the home team was able to take the benefit from the plays that developed and they managed to score and take the lead. The first goal was scored by Steve Ott during power play in the
15th minute through a spectacular flick shot.
The period ended with Dallas in the lead at 1-0 as they made 7 goal attempts while Ducks made 9 goal attempts.
Dallas made good start to the 2nd period and displayed superb ice hockey skills. They made good and strong attacks that saw them coming across several goal scoring opportunities.
However, as time passed, the away team settled down and made attacks too. They were able to score to level. The goal was scored by Corey Perry through a simple shot that was perfectly placed. The goal was scored in the 9th minute during power
play. The period ended with the scores level at 1-1.
During the period, Dallas made 11 goal attempts while Ducks made 6.
Ducks continued their form into the final period and came up with good shots on target. They almost scored in the 5th minute to take the lead only to be denied by the goal keeper.
Now, the home team started to make attacks too and took the lead with a goal in the 9th minute. The goal was scored by Brad Richards through a splendid flick shot that went flying into the net. The period ended with Dallas winning the match 2-1.
During the course of final period, Anaheim Ducks made 12 goal attempts while Dallas Stars made 8 attempts.
