2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series – Florida Panthers win 2-1 against the Atlanta Thrasher despite being away
The 262nd game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere was played between the Atlanta Thrashers and the Florida Panthers. The match took place at the Philips Arena, home of the Atlanta Thrashers this Wednesday. The Florida
Panthers played the 16thgame of the season while the Atlanta Thrashers played the 19thgame of their campaign.
Both the teams made a good start to the match as they fired shots at the opposing goal every now and then. The shots enabled the teams to get into scoring positions frequently but none of the early chances were converted into goals.
The period saw its first goal being scored in 8th minute of the period which went in favour of the Atlanta Thrashers scored by Zach Boqosian after which the home crowd went wild. The period saw the away team coming
close to scoring 3 times in the last few minutes of the period but they were unsuccessful in doing so.

The 2nd period started in spectacular fashion for the Panthers and the change in strategy worked right from the word go. The Panthers pushed and were successful in scoring in 2nd minute of
the period to level the score. The goal was scored by Stephen Weiss though a powerful strike that went flying into the back of the net.
The Florida Panthers worked hard and found themselves in open scoring positions but the shots either went wide or found the goal keeper in its way.
However, the Florida Panthers successfully took the lead with a goal in the 19th minute. The goal was scored by Radek Dvorak through a decent strike.
The period came to end with the Florida Panthers turning the tables and leading 2-1. During the 20 minutes of the period, the Florida Panthers made 16 goal attempts while the Atlanta Thrashers made 8 goal attempts.
