2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series – Los Angeles Kings win 4-3 against the Boston Bruins after shootout
Los Angeles Kings versus the Boston Bruins was the 283rd game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series that was played at the TD Garden this Saturday in front of 18,000 fans. The game saw the home team; Boston Bruins play their 18th game
while the Los Angeles Kings played their 19th game. The game proved to be a very exciting and entertaining one as the Los Angeles Kings managed to get the lead with their noses ahead at the end of the shootout to win the match 4-3.
The away team, Los Angeles Kings made a great start to the match and scored in the very first minute to take the lead. The goal was scored by Brad Richardson through a well placed flick shot. Both the teams attacked with the Boston Bruins dominating the
period.
However the away team scored once again in the 12th minute to double the lead. The goal was scored by Michal Handzus who scored through a powerful strike. The period saw the Boston Bruins come across numerous scoring opportunities but they failed
to convert them into goals. 
The period ended with the Boston Bruins trailing 0-2 despite making 14 goal attempts while the Los Angeles Kings made 7 goal attempts.
The early part of the 2nd period was no different as the Los Angeles Kings managed to score once again in the 3rd minute to take the score to 3-0. The goal was scored by Jarret Stoll.
The 2nd period was evenly matched by both the teams in terms of goal attempts. But unlike the 1st period, the Boston Bruins converted their chances in the period to keep hopes of a comeback alive.
They scored in the 5th minute through Blake Wheeler to cut the lead to 2 goals. With the constant hard work and determination, they scored once again in the 12th minute. The goal was scored by Gregory Campbell that took the score to
3-2 in favour of the Los Angeles Kings. The period ended on this with the Boston Bruins making 8 goal attempts while the Kings made 10 goal attempts.
The home team was able to dominate the proceedings in the final period of the match and scored in the 14th minute to level the scores. The goal was scored by Patrice Bergeron from a flick shot. The period saw the home team making 17 goal attempts
but they failed to score and the game went into overtime.
During the overtime, no goals were scored but the Los Angeles Kings was able to score through Michal Handzus in the shootout to win the match 4-3.
