2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series – Montreal Canadiens win 4-1 against the Los Angeles Kings

The 311th game of the 2010 Compuware was played at the Centre Bell, home to the Montreal Canadiens, this Wednesday. The match saw the Montreal Canadiens play host to the Los Angeles Kings in front of 21,000 fans. This was the 21st game
of the season for the Los Angeles Kings while the Montreal Canadiens played their 22nd game of the campaign.
Both teams made a decent start to the match and fired shots at the goal every now and then. This resulted in both the teams coming across many scoring chances early on in the period.
However, when the game settled down the attacks that were seen developing were brilliant. The plays that both the teams came up with were an amazing sight. The Montreal Canadiens was the first to benefit from it as they scored in the 10th minute
to take the lead of the match. The goal was scored by Andrei Kostitsyn from a flick shot.
The Montreal Canadiens and the Los Angeles Kings both pressed on in search of a goal. It was the Montreal Canadiens who scored once again in the 18th minute to double their lead. The goal was scored by Michael Cammalleri from a decent strike.

The final period of the match saw both the teams adopt a very basic game playing style which was to attack when the opportunity was there otherwise just sit back.
