2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series – Philadelphia Flyers host the Montreal Canadiens

The second of the four encounters would see the Montreal Canadiens play host to the Philadelphia Flyers this Monday. The previous match was played on 16th November between the two teams as the Flyers lost their first game during the regulation
time with the score on 3-0. They were helped by the excellent goal keeping of Carey Price who made 41 saves during the course of the match.
The match is eagerly awaited as the previous encounter turned out to be very intense. The match saw 3 misconducts in the final period. The Montreal Canadiens have played 20 games so far in the season and won 14 out these; losing 6 of the games they remain
with 27 points at the moment.
The Philadelphia Flyers are on a role as they have lost only 2 of their last 10 games and are beginning to pile up good results.
Not only this, their defence is getting better with the main boost coming from their goal keeper, Brian Boucher. He made splendid saves throughout the course of the match and restricted the strong and deadly attack of the Washington to 4-4.
In the shootout, Brian made some more splendid saves as they won the match 5-4. After being named the star selection of the match he said, "It feels nice," Boucher said of getting the win. "When you don't play it is hard to feel a part of it. You don't feel
like you're contributing much. When you have to chance to get a win and have a good start -- aside from the end there when it got a little hairy, I thought it was a pretty solid game. In the shootout it is man vs. man and I was able to do it, so it is nice."

The Philadelphia Flyers have played 21 games so far out of which they have won 15 games and lost 6, scoring a total of 28 points. They are hoping to establish a winning streak and there is a great possibility that this would happen.
The hot players to watch out will be Montreal Canadiens forward, Michael Cammalleri who has bagged 3 goals in the last 5 matches. The Philadelphia Flyers' cause on the other hand will be helped a great deal by Mike Richards who has scored 8 goals in the
last 13 games he has played.
The game is expected to be a very tough battle as both the teams are very strong on the offence and if they make defence their priority, they can be very hard to get past. Though their recent for doesn’t reflect the level of talent they possess but if all
the pieces are in the right place ahead of the match then we are surely in for an amazing match.
The Montreal Canadiens face the injury of defenseman Andrei Markov while Flyers have to deal with a few more and serious injuries that could hinder their chances of a win. The injuries include the likes of goal keeper Michael Leighton, Matt Walker and star
forward Daniel Carcillo.
