2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series– St. Louis Blues win 5-2 against Ottawa Senators
Ottawa Senators versus the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Arena was the 278th game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series. The match saw the home team, St. Louis Blues, come up with an impressive performance as they were playing in the 18th
game of their campaign while the Ottawa Senators played their 20th game. The match was an intriguing battle that saw the St. Louis Blues win the match 5-2.
Both teams made a decent start to the match and frequently fired shots on the opposing goal. There were certain times in the match where it looked as if a goal was definitely going to be scored but unfortunately neither of the teams could score.
However, it was the Ottawa Senators, who broke the dead lock with a goal in the 10th minute of the period. The goal was scored by Mike Fisher from a backhand shot which proved to be the only goal of the match.

The final period of the match saw the home team continue with the dominating performance as they scored once again in the 9th minute. The goal was scored by Andy McDonald from a simple flick shot.
The period saw the home team not giving the away team any chance to settle and bagged another goal in the 15th minute when Patrik Berglund scored through a powerful strike.
Though the Ottawa Senators responded to this with a goal in the 16th minute but it was no more than a consolation goal, which was scored by Jesse Winchester, as the match ended with the St. Louis Blues winning 5-2.
