Detroit Red Wings win 3-1 against Colorado Avalanche
Saturday, 13th November 2010 saw the Detroit Red Wings host the 238th game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series. The home team was up against the Colorado Avalanche at the Joe Louis Arena in front of 20,000 fans. This was the 16th game
of the campaign for the Colorado Avalanche, while the 15th for the Detroit Red Wings.
The away team was the better starter of the two as they made early goal attempts during the period that almost put them in the lead. As time passed they seemed to lose control of the match. The Red Wings took advantage of this coming up with shots on goal
every now and then.

Nashville Predators win 4-3 against the Chicago Blackhawks
Chicago Blackhawks versus the Nashville Predators was the 240thgame of the regular season. The match was played at the Bridgestone Arena, home of the Predators in front of 17,000 fans.
The home team made a brilliant start to the match displaying some excellent quality in the department of passing and shooting. They came close to scoring on several occasions but neither of the shots found the back of the net.
The Chicago Blackhawks started to grow in confidence as the period progressed and managed to score in the final minute of the period to take the lead. Jack Skille scored the goal through a simple flick shot as the period came to an end with the Blackhawks
leading 1-0. During the period, the Chicago Blackhawks made 13 goal attempts while the Predators made 9 goal attempts.
The 2nd period saw the home team explode as they scored in the 3rd minute to level the score. Shane O’Brien scored this goal from a quick shot that caught the goalkeeper by surprise and went into the net. The Nashville Predators piled up attack after attack,
which resulted in another goal in the 6th minute that put them in the lead. This goal was scored by Shea Weber through a powerful strike from long range.
The Chicago Blackhawks responded to this with a goal in the 7thminute to level the score once again with the goal scored by Viktor Stalberg through a decent strike. The Chicago Blackhawks took the lead once again with a goal in the 10th minute.
The goal was scored by Jack Skille as the visitors went into the break leading 3-2.
The final period of the game saw the Nashville Predators scoring in the 11th minute to level the score 3-3. There were no further goals scored during the period with the Blackhawks making 4 goal attempts while the Predators made 10 goal attempts.
The match went into overtime where there were no goals seen. However, Cal O'Reilly's goal in the shootout won the Nashville Predators the match 4-3.
