2010 Compuware NHL Premiere series, Washington Capitals thrash New Jersey Devils 5-1
The 496th game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series saw the Washington Capitals playing host to the New Jersey Devils. The match was played at the Verizon Centre with around 18,000 fans coming to witness the match.
The Washington Capitals had recently seen a drop in their form after an amazing start to the season. After the recent defeats, the home team managed to combine well and be there at the right moment to score five times in the match to win it 5-1 in the end.
