2010 Italian Grand Prix: Team wise performance analysis
Ferrari
The month has started off pretty well for the Ferrari team as they walked out all clean and unharmed from the team ordering scandal while later also had this great time at the team’s home town in Italy. With the top place finish, Fernando Alonso’s chances
for his career’s third championship win are even brighter.
The Spaniard seemed reluctant to let slip away his chances for the first place as he kept pulling his F10 till the time he saw what he wanted- the chequered flag. The other Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, was also strong and charged up. He provided the team
with what they wanted... a clean third place finish.
McLaren
The day had been good for McLaren, although, they wanted it to be great. In the end, Team McLaren seemed happy for Jenson Button, who ended the race at second place but they appeared sad for Lewis Hamilton, who had to end his race pointless right in the
first lap.
Hamilton made a silly mistake while attempting to overtake Massa, thus, ending up with a damaged steering.
Red Bull
Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull portrayed himself as a clever driver and he was able to save the day despite having suffered from a brake binding problem that made him slow down around the 20th lap where then his team mate, Mark Webber, took over him.
Still, the Australian ended at sixth place as he kept moving without switching his tires till the 52nd of the total 53 laps. He ended the race at fourth place.
Well, Hamilton’s retirement brought Webber to the top of the charts, though, he believes that the team had failed to bring out the best from the opportunities available.

Mercedes GP
Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg performed better than his team mate, Michael Schumacher, ending the race at fifth place while the latter finished at ninth. The team is happy that at least both the drivers walked out with points.
Williams
Team Williams has had some good races recently while this week they had yet another. The team, which is striving to keep on earning points, seemed happy to see Nico Hulkenberg end at seventh place while Rubens Barrichello finishing at tenth.
Renault
Although, Renault strived hard but still they didn’t have much pace to do better than what they did. Robert Kubica pulled harder and stayed at fifth for a while in the beginning but as the race proceeded, he seemed to have lost the ground and was only able
to end at eighth place.
Vitaly Petrov also struggled to keep his tenth place secured but the same strategy that proved good for Vettel- having late pit stop- brought Petrov down to 13th place.

Toro Rosso
Toro Rosso’s Sebastian Buemi had a combat with Barrichello at the beginning but later he had to withstand a lot of pressure from Liuzzi to end at eleventh place. His teammate,

Jaime Alguersuari, also was nowhere in a better state to have finished anywhere above fifteenth.

Force India
The two Force India drivers returned with a bad mood as they blamed each other for the slow start. Tonio Liuzzi finished at twelfth while Adrian Sutil hardly made it for the sixteenth place.
BMW Sauber
Pedro de la Rosa finished at fourteenth place while Kamui Kobayashi faced gearbox problems and had to retire from the race.
Virgin
Timo Glock at seventeenth place and Lucas di Grassi at twentieth was no surprise but they seemed happy to move ahead of the other rookie team, Lotus.
Lotus
Heikki Kovalainen marked the eighteenth place whereas Jarno Trulli had to retire during the 49th lap due to gearbox failure.
HRT
The nineteenth place went to Sakon Yamamoto, while his teammate, Bruno Senna, retired after facing some hydraulic problem.
