2010 NBA Free Agent Summit

As the playoffs seasons moves on, big stars plan on hitting the market this year as their contracts have come to an end. This is apparently being called the “free agent summit” by the experts.  Big players like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Joe Johnson, and Bosh are soon to hit the market. Although none of them have disclosed what teams they plan on joining, news has been surfing the internet and a big hype is being created about it, by taking a tour on the web, let us see what the experts are saying.

King James, the 25 year old has been the main target for the past two years now, despite him being criticized heavily for his performance this year’s at the playoffs. The question ‘what will LeBron do?’ has been in the air for several years now. Experts say if LeBron decides to stay with the Cavaliers, there is no place like home. Although rumours were that he signed a short contract with Cavaliers, with an opt out-clause that would allow him to leave the team by 2010. Showing he had no intention to stay with the team for long.

Next on the list is the New Jersey Nets which a close friend of the King, Shawn Carter (Jay-Z) partially owns. The nets plan on improving the team, but the question is does LeBron want to be on the same roster Devin Harris and Trent Hassell. New York Knicks have been on James since a while now, he is already idolized by the Knicks fans, and they want him on the team.

In an interview with Lary King, James said he would be the “ringleader”.

Dwyane Wade  on the other hand is a free agent after settling his legal disputes, Wade plans on having a discussion with his fellow free agents LeBron James and Joe Johnson before deciding on what to do. The possibility of joining the Chicago Bulls seems vague, he exclaimed in an interview conducted by Espn Sports “I'm thinking about building a dynasty in Miami. That would be ideal, but we don't live in an ideal world. But that's an ideal situation for me."

What are Joe Johnson’s options in free agent summit? Atlanta Hawks certainly does not want him anymore after his nasty performance throughout the playoffs. Nicks as mentioned previously can’t stop flirting with LeBron James, who is the most wanted free agent. Joe plans on partnering it up with Wade, he says he is okay with shifting positions with the player and does not mind playing a secondary role in the team. There are rumours of Joe thinking of opting for Miami Heat franchise.

Chris bosh has became the key player of Toronto Nuggets after Vince Carter was traded New Jersey Nets.

Chris bosh has narrowed down five teams as sources from ESPN sports say. The list includes all a few of the top franchises in NBA: Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.

Chris Bosh seems to be in demand in the free agent pool after The King. He definitely strikes out to be an intriguing player to the public. Let’s not forget Bosh said that he wants to capitalize on the money he makes, which would make a lot of franchises look the other way. Bosh changed his location from Toronto to everywhere, which clearly shows he does intend on playing for the Toronto Raptors. Experts say Denver Nuggets would love to add bosh to the rooster but sadly have no flexibility.

However, nothing is for certain now, too many rumours and speculations. The wait will have to continue till July 1st to see what the players decide upon.
