2011/2012 summer transfer window team – Goalkeepers
There have been a lot of transfers so far in the summer transfer window. A lot of outstanding players switched their teams to get better experience and join better clubs in order to show their worth to the world.
If we join all the important players who have been transferred in this summer so far, a world class team can be made. There have been a few outstanding goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, wingers and strikers who have changed their clubs this summer.
Starting off from the goalkeepers, the Manchester City drop-out Shay Given changed his club and joined Aston Villa this summer. The Irish goal stopper did wonders for Manchester City when he joined them from Newcastle United back in 2009.
Given was Manchester City’s first choice goalkeeper and he did a phenomenal http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323. However, he was benched by the Italian
coach as the English goal stopper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 took his first team place the very next season.
With Shay Given being unsatisfied with the number of first team appearances being given to him, he decided to leave Manchester City to join Aston Villa. The fee was agreed between the two Premier League sides and it was decided that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shay-Given-c33284 is going to
join Aston Villa for 3.5 million Pounds.
Another outstanding goal stopper who changed his club during this summer transfer window is the former Atletico Madrid youngster http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 De Gea. The Spanish youngster made his way into the first team from the Atletico Madrid academy and the Scottish manager
Sir Alex Ferguson saw the talented goal stopper and decided to buy him.
David De Gea had a good season with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish La Liga but he couldn’t really help them qualify for the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Cup. He helped the Spaniards win the Europa League back in the 2009-2010 season. Furthermore, De
Gea also managed to win the UEFA Super Cup against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Milito-c11166.
This summer Manchester United’s first team goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Saar retired and Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463 is going to be the player who will replace the Dutch goal stopper and a deal worth 18 million Pounds
was agreed between the two sides.
The Dutch goal stopper Maarten Stekelenburg also switched his club from Ajax to Roma. With the Italian side trying to become a powerful team for the next season, they signed the Dutch goal stopper who is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the
world. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815 snatched the away from him.
One more goalkeeper who has done wonders with his former club is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424. Neuer was simply too good for his former club Schalke 04 and with his contract expiring at the end of the 2011-2012 season, he decided to switch his team. Neuer joined the German
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich for only 18 million Euros.
