2011/2012 summer transfer window team – Right Backs
In recent years, the job of a right back has evolved. Considering all the big teams in the world, their right backs are simply phenomenal. If we take examples from Europe, almost all the big guns have outstanding right full backs.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 of a right back has evolved a lot and it is one of the most difficult positions to play because it requires a lot of fitness and skill. A full back should know how to defend and how to attack.
While a full back moves up the flank to aid the team in attack, he also has to fall back in order to help the team defend as he is one of the four defenders played by the manager. Such players need a lot of stamina because they have to be everywhere on one
side. They have to move forward and then make a run backwards in order to help the team in both the departments of football.
Considering the fact that all the big clubs have amazing right backs, let us consider all of them.
The Spanish Champions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Alves. Alves is considered to be one of the best right backs in the world at the moment. He is a Champions League winner and despite playing as a full back, he has more than 20 assists
in the last season because he is simply brilliant while moving up the flank.
Other brilliant right backs include – the Real Madrid man, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pablo-Zabaleta-c29022 and others.
Since right footed players are an easy find, it is relatively easy to find a right back rather than a left back. Therefore, this season not many right backs have changed their clubs as most of the clubs have produced their own players to perform in that
role.
Two good right backs have changed their club this season – Stephan Lichtsteiner and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristian-c9491 Zapata.
Stephan Lichtsteiner enjoyed a good season with Lazio and he came under the Juventus Radar. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 man has been consisted throughout the three seasons he has played for the Italian club. Now, with Juventus trying to become a big force in the Italian Serie
A, they needed a right full back and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stephan-Lichtsteiner-c34101 was the right man for the job.
He managed to give 35 appearances in the last season for Lazio and now he is going to play for Juventus as both the sides agreed a fee worth 3 million Euros.
Another right full back who changed his club in this summer transfer window is Cristian Zapata. After helping Udinese qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the next season, Zapata came under the Villarreal radar.
Zapata joined Udinese back in 2005 and he has been their first choice right back since then. He has given 30 appearances in almost every season – at an average. Last season he managed to give 29 appearances for his side and his performance was liked by the
Spanish Giants Villarreal and they decided to sign him for an undisclosed fee.
