while ERG received defeat in the second fixture of the tournament. Adolfo Cambiaso-led Lucchese was looking to build up a winning impression in the crucial event.
The single-handed game once again brought back the memories of past when Adolfo Cambiaso was sitting at the Number one position in the World Ranking and used to make the victories possible alone in the crucial tournaments. It was the highest scoring game
thus far in the tournament where both the teams scored 26 goals in the six chukkas of play.
Lucchese
John Muse: 06/10
Muse delivered an impressive game in the defensive point of view and despite being fresh youngster he did not show lack of confidence in the crucial encounter. He could not score any goal in the match but his performance at the defence was outstanding. He
made crucial saves on many in the first half and ended the period at 11-01.
Julio Gracida: 6.5/10
Apart from showing some uninspiring performances in the second half, overall it was best show from Gracida. He scored once in the six chukkas but exhibited an outstanding game in the defensive position. He was looking a monster player in the first three
frames and had an assist to serve his team in the second consecutive victory. His defensive strategies further highlighted the play.
Adolfo Cambiaso: 09/10
Seasoned Argentinean polo pro Cambiaso having a ten-goal handicap to his credit and proved his worth in the crucial fixture. He was an invariable menace for the opposite side and scored eleven times. He notched plenty of goals from the field efforts and
as well from penalty conversions that reminded his shinning part of his professional career. With his intelligent movements, Cambiaso really enchanted the onlookers.
Jeff Blake: 08/10
With his instant, hassling and harrying use of the ball, Blake served much not for his personal scoring but for his front-runner as well. He scored four goals in the game and played his part in the triumph. His speed and movement at the back of horse was
superb.
ERG
Scott Wood: 04/10
Wood – the player without a handicap was usually involved in many moves at the defensive line but to no avail. He struggled throughout the match and looked disappointing.
Paco de Narvaez: 08/10
Narvaez had a different story of the six chukkas. Though Narvaez was subdued in the first three frames, he improved his performance in the second half with an inspired counter-offence. The sheer attacking power paid off for him in the form of four goals
that could not save them from a humiliating defeat.
Sebastian Merlos: 07/10
Merlos made the run and provided the ball to his team-mates for making attempts to return into the play. However, his efforts did not create a difference.
Miguelito Torres: 07/10
As per the previous track record, Torres delivered an outstanding show and accounted for three goals in the loss. Apart from that he failed to display reasonable performance in the defensive place and received plenty of goals.
