2011 Hopman Cup; Justine Henin crushes Ana Ivanovic in straight sets

The 28-year-old Justine Henin of Belgium got the better of former top ranked Ana Ivanovic in two sets at the 2011 Hopman Cup on Thursday. The final match score was 6-4 6-3. The battle was stretched to a time period of seventy six
minutes.
As a result of this win, the Belgian gave her country a lead of 1-0 in the tie, however the Serbian side is still one victory short of reaching the semi-final round at the event.
World number three Novak Djokovic can surely provide that win to Serbia in his singles match against Ruben Bemelmans.
Henin in her match against the Serbian today, played superbly to get past Ana at the Hopman Cup. She didn't get an ideal start as Ana quickly secured a lead of 2-0 in the opening set. However, the Belgian eventually broke back
and took four games in a row to seal the game.
In the decisive set, the current world number 12 Henin continued her dominance by racing to a lead of 4-1, however once again the Serbian tennis ace Ana Ivanovic proved why she was once ranked the world’s top player by bouncing
back into the match. Unfortunately, she couldn’t maintain that lead as Henin played superior tennis to eventually emerge victorious in the end.
Meanwhile, in the men’s side, Lleyton Hewitt also posted an impressive victory, defeating Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan in two sets. The final score line was 6-3 6-3; the battle lasted sixty three minutes.
Hewitt had no serious problems in outlasting his opponent and provided Australia with a lead of 1-0 as a result of this victory.
"I played him at the French Open a couple of years ago and he's a great shot maker, so it was important for me to go out there and weather the storm against him," reflected Hewitt after his victory over Andrey. And when commenting
on his comeback to the tour, the Australian said, "I have come off a four or five-month lay-off and to be able to strike the ball like I did with Novak a couple of nights ago, I was pretty happy with that.”
