  1. Super Bowl XLV will be played on February 6th 2011 and will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers. The game will be played at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas and it was just announced that the roof will be shut for the game. With the NFL worried about the weather, its been confirmed that the game will be played indoors with the roof closed. Both of these teams are use to playing outside in colder weather, so there really isn’t any advantage here.

2011 Super Bowl XLV Current Betting Line

    Pittsburgh Steelers +2.5
    Green Bay Packers –2.5

When the Super Bowl XLV betting line was released by the online sportbooks action came in on the Packers at +0, which shot the point spread up to –2.5 in favour of Green Bay. The action has evened out since making the Steelers an underdog and I wouldn’t expect to see +3 anytime soon unless something drastic happens. One reason why many people have taken the Packers is because there offence should be able to have a good game playing indoors with their spread passing schemes.

2011 Super Bowl XLV Moneyline Odds

    Pittsburgh Steelers +115
    Green Bay Packers –135

If you think the Steelers are going to win the Super Bowl then you should probably bet on them soon before the moneyline odds start going down. Once action starts coming in on the Steelers point spread it’ll lower the spread and moneyline odds, so now is a great time to snap up +115 if you think the Steelers will win. Green Bay at –135 isn’t looking great right now and I’d wait to see how the Packers betting line moves throughout the week before pulling the trigger.
