2011 season schedule of University of Colorado released
The University of Colorado volleyball team has recently announced its schedule for the upcoming 2011 season.
Like always, they have lined up tough matches for themselves that will gear them up for the big games in the Big 12 Conference as well as the Pac-12 Conference.
The coach of the Cu team, Liz Kritza, made the following comments about the schedule of the upcoming season, “There is a lot of excitement about our inaugural season in the Pac-12 and the corresponding schedule. The teams on our slate will provide us with
balanced preparation for what will be a great challenge as we host some of the nation's top collegiate women's volleyball programs.”
The start of the season for CU will take place on the 26th of August and the team that they will be contesting is UNLV. The second match of the season for the CU squad will also take place on the same day, against UC Davis. The third match of CU will take
place at their home ground in the Coors Events Center.
The CU will be enrolling in the Pac-12 Conference on an official basis on the 1stJuly. The CU team has much to live up to as the league has built a legacy of success behind it. The league has been able to bag a total of 13 national championships so far.
Not only that, it has made it to the semi-finals in national tournaments an impressive number of 37 times. Nine players have gotten the credit of being named the national player of the year. In addition, it has also made their mark in the international arena
by winning several Olympic Medals.
Other than the Pac-12 matches the line up for the Big 12 is a bit different. Most of the conference matches will take place over the weekend. The matches that are scheduled to be played on Friday and Saturday will commence at 7 p.m. while the Sunday matches
will start early at 2 p.m.
The ticket sales for CU’s home matches shave already begun. All of these home matches are scheduled to be played at the Coors Events Center.
