Nope.

The Mayans studied astrology for their calendar.. not hoodoo.

They mapped out the precession of the equinoxes (The wobbling of the earth).

Strangely, the one wobble takes 26,000 years to complete.  As it goes through it's cycle, the North Pole points in a different direction slightly and our North Star changes.  It goes through the signs.. Aquarius.. Pisces, etc.  

2012 was their date that they predicted the precession into the Age of Aquarius.  Geez you guys are fickle.

The Bible is based on astrology... which is the only thing ancient man knew.  Pisces.. fish.. Jesus.. fisherman.... led in the Age of Pisces.
