2012 ACBA Kumpoo Junior Open: Huaidong Tang overpowers William Liang in Boy’s Singles U17
Huaidong Tang, who is an aggressive and young shuttler from Australia, proved his mettle in the arena as he played with incredible speed and outplayed his lower ranked country-mate William Liang in Boy’s Singles U17 at the 2012 ACBA Kumpoo Junior Open on
Saturday, December 8, in Australia.
The top seeded Tang, who remained impressive in all areas of the court, put up smashing show and remained successful in winning the battle against Liang who was the second seeded shuttler in the main draw.
Tang was at his best in the arena as he played with remarkable precision in the arena and managed to overpower his rival in straight games with a reasonable margin on the score board.
Meanwhile, the second seeded Liang also put up superb show of attacking badminton but he remained unlucky in the ending points and eventually lost this battle against his top seeded opponent with a respectable margin.
Tang played with terrific control in his shots and managed to occupy the driving seat from starting points of the opening game.
The hard-to-learn variations in Tang’s shots helped him to maintain his supremacy against his challenger on court.
It was Tang who showed no respect to his spirited rival in the starting half and secured a comfortable lead in the arena.
The battle progressed in the same manner after the one-minute interval as Tang did not lose his control in the arena.
Tang did not slow down the pace of rallies at any stage and comfortably bagged the first set with a narrow 21-19 margin on the board.
Liang increased his speed to play tricky badminton in the first half of second game but could not construct pressure on his rival.
The impressive Tang entertained the crowd with his tremendous craft that assisted him to maintain pressure on his rival who could not find positive run.
Tang was calm and positive in the arena in the concluding points of second set and claimed the second game with a staggering difference of 21-17.
The hard-to-learn skills helped Tang to wind up this interesting battle in straight sets with a reasonable 21-19 and 21-17 score on the board.
