2007 Season
Eli Manning’s rookie season was not very brilliant, but he led the team into the playoffs twice after that season.
In his fourth season, he shocked the world with his exceptional performance that gave him his first Super Bowl ring.
Giants made a disappointing start to the season after losing their first two games, against Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers respectively.
However, they recovered strongly to win the next six games, setting stage for their third consecutive playoff appearance. They won 10 games in the regular season and made it to the postseason.
Their first postseason game was against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Giants easily cleared that obstacle. Their second playoff game was against the Dallas Cowboys who had beaten them earlier in the regular season.
After getting past Cowboys, Giants battled for the National Football Conference (NFC) championship title against the Green Bay Packers, who had also defeated them in the regular season.
Giants overpowered Packers after a close encounter and got a shot at the Super Bowl against the American Football Conference (AFC) champions New England Patriots.
Manning was yet again brilliant and successfully led the team to a winning season.
He started all games of the regular season and completed a total of 297 passes of 529 attempts for 3,336 yards. He scored 23 touchdowns and sent 20 interceptions.
2008 Season
After winning the Super Bowl, the Giants were unable to defend their title. They did manage to qualify for the playoffs in the 2008 season, though.
Manning led them to an impressive 12-4 regular season, but they lost their first playoff game against Philadelphia Eagles.
In 16 games of the regular season, Manning completed a total of 289 passes of 479 attempts for 3,238 yards. He scored 21 touchdowns and was good with accuracy as he only threw 10 interceptions.
2009 Season
After his rookie season, it was the first time that Eli was unable to lead the team into the playoffs.
In the 2009 season, Giants made an exploding start by winning the first five games, but lost the next four to ruin their chances and finished the regular season 8-8.
Manning registered 4,021 passing yards while scoring 27 touchdowns in the season.
2010 Season
It was yet another season without any playoff game for Giants. Although they finished the regular season on a strong note by winning 10 out of 16 games, they were still left out. Manning gained a total of 4,002 passing yards while scoring 31 touchdowns. He threw 25 interceptions.
