2012 NHL draft top pick Nail Yakupov not worried about his leg problems and feels fine
Nail Yakupov, the first pick of the 2012 NHL draft by Edmonton Oilers, is not worried and concerned about the legs problem he is having, which is called a leg infection by few people couple of days ago.
Yakupov rubbished this news and he is not bothered about the problem he has got, as he can do anything and everything normally right now. He is relaxed and looking to be 100% fit again in some more time, before he starts playing again.
The problem was caused when the Oilers’ forward was on a tread mill in a training session and he fell off it. It has affected him a little bit as he was not able to get on the ice for two last days but he watched others playing, sitting on the bench.
But he was able to take out time and assure his fans and the supporters that there is nothing to worry about as he said,
"Nobody worry about my leg."
Talking Edmonton Oilers’ website, the Russian international clarified that it was not an infection, like other have been saying. He can do all the works of daily routine easily, like he can skate, he is able to sleep peacefully and he is also doing good
practice, as he said,
"Somebody said it was an infection, but it's nothing. It looks worse than it is, but I can skate, I can work out, I can sleep. … I'm good now. I'm practicing."
The Nizhnekamsk, Russia native is right now with his team is a training camp, Perry Pearn’s three on three. He also talked about his team mates and praised their game, as he added,
"They skate well and are tough to play against, but we're not working at 100 percent -- we don't want to kill somebody. Everyone has been playing good games."
The 18-year-old forward played for Sarnia Sting in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for last two seasons and impressed everybody by scoring 100+ points in just 65 games in 2010-2011 season. He also won silver medal with Team Russia in 2012 World Junior Championships.
