Question:

2012 Nibiru Question (another logical argument)?

If Nibiru orbited along such an elliptical orbit that it was nearly aways beyond the solar system, only entering for a few short years, then how can it be inhabited by a race of killer slaving aliens? In the outer reaches of the solar system, the temperature rarely rises above -200 degrees Celsius (-328 F). At those temperature, even simple organisms die, so those aliens couldn't grow crops, there would be no light (the sun would be but a distant speck) and their world would be frozen to the core.

How can they survive such inhospitable conditions?

  1. Maybe they have a planetary base that enables them to live, like oxygen or some other source of energy and respiration. They'd also need a constant supply of nutrients, like food and/or liquid nourishment (beamed from their home plant, perhaps?).

  2. If you actually start to do calculations with the numbers given in the various hoax predictions you will find all sorts of problems with the celestial mechanics. I plan to make my students do this as homework!

The temperature is the least of the problems...

  3. The only answers to your question are hypothetical:  *maybe* their planet is internally heated, *maybe* they are a new kind of organism, *maybe* there's some hidden heat source elsewhere along its orbit.

And that's because the problem itself is hypothetical.  Nobody has seen Nibiru or knows anything about it.  So they're all made-up answers to the real impliciations of a made-up problem.  It's all a big ball of maybe.  That lets people think whatever they want about it.

Like most pseudoscience the Nibiru claims are based entirely on speculation, so when a problem arises you just pile on more.  Since no one can *disprove* the speculation, it seems like a defensible line of reasoning.  But in fact you're just maybe-ing up another hypothesis and defining it to have exactly the properties you need to "solve" today's problem.  Tomorrow when your theory butts up against another fact in a new way, you'll invent some other magical maybe and give it exactly the attributes required to sidestep that fact.

Science is about answering real questions with facts, not about how creative your maybes are.

  4. Good question--- the answer is such a planet COULD NOT harbor life.

The best response is simply that it is an internet HOAX! No one can give the coordinates of PlanetX --- as anyone with a telescope should be able to see it --- given it's exact location in the sky. Hubble could easily spot it and also our club's 16" computer controlled telescope.

However we will still get a 100 questions, about Planet X and or the Mayan end of the world calendar, ---- TODAY! and everyday until 2013.

Then it will change to some other HOAX--

  5. no idea wa you just said, there some nerdy words in the wich i having got the slightest what they mean. smoke a joint n chillout with yah mates that might answer some questions

  6. the original obfuscation... i mean, explanation.. was that Nibiru was a moon of a gas giant orbiting a brown dwarf and was heated by both heat given off by the brown dwarf and heat generated by tidal stress from orbiting the gas giant.

the correct answer is... Nibiru has never been in our Solar System, never will be.  A very clever dude made him up and now we are stuck with this piece of aborted folklore offal.

  7. I don't have an answer to your question.  I could attempt speculation, but any answer I could give you would be highly based on several unknowns and numerous variables.

However, I think your question could have an accompanying riddle to it, or possibly a follow up.  If it's supposedly only four years away, what speed and lack of reflectivity  must it be traveling and have  to be completely undetectable (through visible light spectrum and gravitational influences on other bodies in our solar system) to us at this moment?  Wouldn't the physics of this eliminate it as candidate for a near earth approach within four years?

  8. Who in h--- have you been speaking with?  I know it's highly illogical to answer a question with another question, but your triad begged for one!  I agree with answer #1, smoke a joint and chill out with your mates, whomever they might be.

However, for the sake of argument---I agree---space is very cold, not counting air (oxygen), there is no atmosphere.  Which would be a very important element for survival, and I don't believe that "aliens" could live out there for very long either---.  What in h--- is a Niviru?  Yeah, I know, another question---but there again, being that I don't know, I'm at a bit of a disadvantage.

Oh, and yes, you "forgot" about detection---it would have been detected, by now---so I feel that your "argument" lacks meaning in a large way!

I personally have never been "visited" by an "alien".  But, I agree "aliens" couldn't survive such inhospitable conditions!

  9. The argument against the existence of Nibiru as claimed is a lot more basic than that.  If you have college higher math,  planetary orbital mechanics prove such an orbit would have been unstable from the start, and would have degraded millions of years ago.  The planet does NOT exist!

  10. Nibiru isn't inhabited by aliens because it doesn't exist.  Its existence was suggested by Zecharia Sitchin based on his own unique interpretation of ancient Sumerian texts, which assumed that all of the named gods were actually planets.  Since 1995 websites such as Zetatalk (run by a lady called Nancy Lieder who claims to talk to aliens through an implant in her head) have forecast its coming (it was supposed to arrive in 2003).

Funny how we managed to detect tiny little Eris and Sedna at over 10 billion Kilometres but failed to note a massive planet hurtling in our direction.  It should be nearly as bright as Jupiter by now and disturbing the outer solar system.

  11. That was one of the first arguments I had against the existence of the Anunaki.  But thankfully a friendly, self-educated, self-proclaimed astronomer advised me that the planet's core is very hot, and that plant life on their world use heat for energy instead of sunlight.  That is why the Anunaki couldn't survive on Earth.  Because of the sunlight.  Or something.  They had to create humans as slaves to mine the Tiberium that they needed for interstellar space travel.  Your argument is weak.

  12. I think you are correct.  THere is no way life could survive on a rock like that for any length of time.  The only way I could possibly suspect that Nibiru is real is if was a gas giant, or some other form of planet that generates its own heat.  A lot of people say that Nibiru is just a "war" planet that the anunaki hop on to go this direction.  I personally think it's BS.  There is another planet (maybe) that is outside of pluto's orbit, which is just a tad larger than pluto, but I do not know if it qualifies as a planet since pluto is not a planet any longer.
