  1. No...it will cost the taxpayer a fortune and it will be a security nightmare.

  2. At this point, I'm looking forward to it....a year from now, I'll probably forget where it's even being held.

  3. what about the weather is pollution or rain?

  4. The Beijin Olympics where spectacular but I dont think that we can really compete i mean look at how much money was used and the sheer adventure in it.!! I am not soo sure that we can produce something so extravagent like Beijing but i think we can create something we will be proud of - if you exclude the logo :) though it is growing on me -

and am i excited about the Olympics.... yes totally 100%... i keep doing my family's head in because i go on about it sooooo much haha

Some of them dont like the olympics !  [scandaolous]

I think the switch over was very intimate what with Britains piece highlighting the foundations of Britain with the Red Bus, Zebra Crossing, the hypnotic swirls of the 60's on the umbrella, the bikers etc.... It wasnt classy or mega, but close to the heart

Sorry... I hope you dont get too bored reading this hha.... I just LOVE the olympics !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mega Fan lol though i only really watched this last one lol..... i cant believe that i missed so many Olympic games ... i am 17! lol hahaha

  5. yeah i am.. because i live in weymouth where the sailing is taking place :)

  6. yes, they have a big act to follow after what Beijing pulled off.

  7. I'm am really looking forward to the Olympics.

I don't think it will be as good as Beijing though, but I hope we don't fake stuff like they did.

  8. I am looking forward to it, I think that china set a good example of how an opening ceremony should be, I hope the organisers take note and do a bit better than a big bus than transforms into a bush.

  9. I'm very much looking forward to it!

I know it's gonna be so different from the one in China, and that they have less budget than China, but I really want to see British history and culture being presented in their opening ceremony.

  10. after the 2010 Winter Games i'll worry about 2012

  11. yea i am, can't wait, i don't think it will be better than the Beijing games tough

  12. YEAH!

    x*x

  13. Just can't wait - and I'm not bothered that it will not be as flash as Beijing - I think the emphasis that the London bid has put on making sure this games gives a legacy to sport, rather than just a 2 weeks shine is really important...

Am really only worried that ticket touts will end up ruining what should be an opportunity for everyone who wants to, to be able to get tickets to at least one event! I think the organisers will really have something to think about when it comes to how to allocate/sell tickets - and also that too many tickets are not corporate rather than going to real fans

  14. i am looking forward to it.

but seens as we are only getting half the budget i don't think we have a chance of competing with beijing.

  15. I won't be getting excited about the Olympics until the beginning of 2012.  Of course, no Olympics will ever compare to the splendor of Beijing, because noone will ever spend $40B on the Olympics.  That just isn't wise for any economy to waste money like that.

  16. awesome mark, im planning for swimming.

  17. You bet, yh the switch was a bit bad and i probably won't be as good as beijing but i am looking forward to it like mad !!!

I hope to compete in 2012 or 2016 in Badminton! Look out for me!
