2012 Opponent Preview: Indianapolis Colts face Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans
We continue our series of opponent preview, as we look into games that will be played by Indianapolis Colts in Week 7 and 8 of the regular season.
Colts will look to put up a good show when they face Cleveland Browns as both teams have similar level of game-play. On the other hand, their game against Tennessee Titans looks to be a tough one.
Week 7: Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Brown looked terrible last season and finished 4-12. Apart from that, there are many doubts about the players they have added and in which positions they have added.
They have added running back Trent Richardson as the third overall pick in this year’s draft. Getting a running back as a third overall pick seems interesting, particularly in this scenario when they desperately needed a good quarterback.
The defensive side of the game looks promising for Browns. Last season they showed good performance and will be looking to give better output this season.
Head-to-Head
Colts and Browns have played 30 games against each other. Colts have won 14 games while Browns have won 16 games.
Week 8: Tennessee Titans
Although Tennessee Titans had a great season last year finishing 9-7, they might not be able to improve the record this time. They failed to qualify for the playoffs last season.
They have not added any promising player this offseason, who can really take the team to the next level.
The offence is led by quarterback Matt Hasselback who is facing tough competition from the dynamic Jake Locker who will play his second season for Titans.
Titans will be without Kenny Britt, who apart from recovering from an injury was also arrested recently. They have drafted a skilful wide receiver Kendall Wright.
The loss of Jason Jones from the defensive team could prove detrimental for the team’s output. The two teams will play two games against each other this season.
Head-to-Head
Colts and Titans have faced each other on 35 occasions. Colts have managed to win 21 of those games while Titans are able to win 14 games.
