2012 Opponent Preview: Minnesota Vikings face Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins
Opponent preview continues as we look into games Minnesota Vikings will play in week 5 and 6 of the regular season. We have previously reviewed games that will be played in week http://www.senore.com/2012-Opponent-Preview-Minnesota-Vikings-face-San-Francisco-49ers-and-Detroit-Lions-a170556.
Tiredness will be one of the factors that could come into play this week as Vikings will be coming from facing tough opponents for two consecutive weeks and things are not going to get any easier in week 5.
Injuries can also affect the team morale and it can occur especially during difficult games.
Week 5: Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans are coming from a 9-7 season in which they were unable to qualify for the playoffs.  The major reason for that was the lack of elite players on the roster.
In this coming season, Titans have a young and very talented roster. Yet, their major concern is still the lack of top-notch veterans who are required on the roster to push any team into playoffs.
Titans do have a dynamic quarterback in Jake Locker. Although it is not certain that he will be their starter, he could give something new to the Titans.
The last time these two teams played against each other was in the 2008 season. Titans won that match 30-17.
Head-to-Head
Titans and Vikings have played 11 games against each other. Vikings are ahead with seven wins against four wins by Titans.
Week 6: Washington Redskins
Washington Redskins are hoping for a change of fortune this season. Last year, they finished 5-11. The team was too young and in-experienced to provide better results.
Redskins were very active during this offseason. They traded up their draft pick with St. Louis Rams in order to get the young and talented quarterback Robert Griffin III (RG3).
Apart from the rookie quarterback, Redskins do not seem to have a very talented offensive team.
Their running backs are not capable enough to make enough opportunities by themselves. Moreover, RG3 will take time to adjust in the professional game.
As far as their defence is concerned, they are capable of giving good performances. There is not much difference between the two sides. However, tough schedule might take its toll on Vikings.
Vikings and Redskins met each other in the last season and the former came out victorious 33-26.
Head-to-Head
Both sides have played 21 games against each other. Redskins have won 11 games and Vikings have won 10.
