2012 Opponent Preview: Seattle Seahawks face Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets
Our opponent preview of Seattle Seahawks continues as we now look into the games to be played in Week 9 and 10.
Seahawks will finally be at home after playing four of their last five games on road.  They will play both of these games at home before heading into the bye week.
After facing some of the toughest opponents in the league, Seahawks will be looking to get some wins during these few weeks in which they will face relatively weaker opponents.
Week 9: Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings are one of the most underrated teams in the National Football League (NFL). Although they finished the last season 3-13, they had some close games which could have gone in their favour.
Things are looking even worse this time for Vikings. As their elite players are getting older and older every season, the quality of their game is diminishing.
Moreover, lack of young talent is affecting Vikings’ on-field pace. They certainly lack weapons in the offence that are required to win games in the professional league.
They have drafted young players, but they will take time to settle into the team and the league.
Seahawks will see this game as an opportunity to get a win under their belt.
Head-to-Head
A total of 11 games have been played so far between Seahawks and Vikings. Seahawks have won six while Vikings have won five of them.
Week 10: New York Jets
New York Jets have plenty of worries to handle this season and they might ruin their season altogether. Last season, they gave mediocre performances and finished 8-8.
The biggest worry for Jets is their quarterback play. They have more options in the quarterback position with the likes of Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, though.
Mark Sanchez has failed to play up to his potential in the past. He has to perform well this season in order to retain his starting position.
Meanwhile, Tim Tebow is coming from an astounding season, but he is yet to show his worth for Jets.
Jets have also made some major changes in the defence. They have changed the defensive formation from 3-4 to 4-3. The impacts of this change are yet to be seen.
Head-to-Head
Seahawks and Jets have played 17 games versus each other. Seahawks are up with nine wins while Jets have won eight games.
