2012 Opponent Preview: St. Louis Rams face Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers
In this edition of opponent preview, we will look at games St. Louis Rams will play in Week 6 and 7 of the regular season.
Rams will be on the road in Week 6 as they play the struggling Miami Dolphins. After that, they will face the mighty Green Bay Packers at home.
Rams will have a better chance to increase their number of wins when they face Dolphins. On the other hand, Packers will be a tough nut to crack.
Week 6: Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins again face the possibility of having a mediocre season. They finished the 2011 season 6-10 and things are not looking good this time around as well.
Dolphins have not updated their roster. Although they have a talented squad, it would have been nice had they removed some loopholes in their team by getting the required players.
Dolphins will be looking for a comeback by Chad Ochocinco who was far from good during his last few seasons with New England Patriots.
Defensively, Dolphins have changed their system into a 4-3 formation. However, it will take time to analyse the outcome of this change.
Head-to-Head
Rams and Dolphins have played 11 games against each other. Rams have won twice while Dolphins have won nine times.
Week 7: Green Bay Packers
As always, Green Bay Packers are one of the favourites to win the title. They had the highest number of wins (15) in the league last regular season.
Their quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been thrilling throughout the season, getting massive scores in every game.
Rodgers has the support of tremendous players in every offensive position. Most of the defences in the league will face tough time against this monstrous offence.
Packers’ defence does behave sloppy at times. Nick Perry has huge boots to fill in his rookie season. Nevertheless, it will be a mammoth task for Rams to beat a team like Packers.
Head-to-Head
A total of 92 games have been played between these two sides. Rams have won 46 games while Packers have won 44 games. Two games have ended in a tie.
