2012 Opponent Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers face Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams
This is the last preview of Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ opponents. In this edition, we will preview games that will be played in Week 13, 14 and 16 of the regular season.
Buccaneers will play New Orleans Saints in week 15 and Atlanta Falcons in week 17. We have previewed these two teams before.
Week 13: Denver Broncos
Veteran quarterback Peyton Manning will finally have a chance to play with his new team Denver Broncos come the start of this season.
Manning does not have to prove how good he is. Yet after spending an entire season on the sidelines it is not known how he is going to perform now.
Broncos have players for pass protection that can give much better support to Manning than what he used to get with Indianapolis Colts, his former team. However, the wide receivers are nowhere near what Manning had in Colts.
Week 14: Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles will start this season knowing that their most important player quarterback Michael Vick will be back in the team fully fit and healthy.
He did not play the entire season last year and was limited due to an injury. He was dearly missed by Eagles as they deeply underperformed without him and finished 8-8.
Eagles also had the opportunity this time to train in the offseason. Eagles are under great pressure to perform this season as they have the roster capable enough to easily qualify for the playoffs.
Week 16: St. Louis Rams
St. Louis Rams finished 2-14 last season. They lacked the talent needed to play better in the professional League.
After a lacklustre season, Rams have substantially improved their roster. Although the players they have acquired are young and talented, they will require a considerable time to get themselves adjusted into the professional league.
In the offence, quarterback Sam Bradford is the only prominent player with exciting skills. He has not yet been able to receive good support from his running backs and wide receivers.
Rams’ defence is looking a bit better now, but Buccaneers’ offence should be able to go through it easily.
