2012 Opponent Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers face San Diego Chargers and Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ opponent preview goes on as we look into Week 10 and 12 of the regular season.
Buccaneers will play Carolina Panthers in week 11. The game has already been previewed earlier in the series. These two games will be played at Buccaneers’ home.
These two games will be a hard fought battle for Buccaneers as both sides are much stronger than them.
Week 10: San Diego Chargers
San Diego Chargers have been deeply criticised for the deplorable performance in the 2011 season. Even their general manager has publicly criticised the performance.
In this offseason, Chargers have looked better. Their roster has improved massively. Players like Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal has been a great addition into the team.
Chargers had been facing injury problems in the receiving position and the addition of these players will definitely help overcome it.
Chargers rushing attack looks to be in a perfect shape and is one of strong points of this team.
There are some issues regarding the running back position. Ronnie Brown does not look like a class act. On the other hand, Ryan Mathews has the potential to be good but has not been able to live up to the expectations due to different
injuries.
Their defence looks totally different this season with the addition of some top-notch talent like Melvin Ingram and Jarret Johnson.
Week 12: Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons are one of the teams that are facing the problem of having players who have passed their peak.
Most of the team’s main players are getting older and the roster is in desperate need of young talent.
Veteran players like Ray Edwards and Michael Turner have started to show some fatigue. Turner has been the core of the offence for the last few seasons.
With Turner in decline, players like Matt Ryan will have to stand up to the occasion in order to make the team much more stable.
Young players in the defence will have to face more pressure as players like Ray Edwards and Abraham gave lacklustre performance last season. These two teams will meet again in the last week of the regular season.
