In this edition of the opponent preview, we will preview games that Indianapolis Colts will play in Week 12 and 13 of the regular season.
In Week 12 they will face Buffalo Bills. After that they will compete against Detroit Lions in Week 13.
Week 12: Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills are a team with various faces. It became prominent last season when they went on to finish 5-2 in their first seven games. After that they went through a seven-game losing streak.
That loss was more because of defensive failure rather than offensive one.
Their defensive line is looking strong with Mario Williams, Marcell Dareus and Mark Anderson in front.
Yet there are some loopholes a linebacker. The secondary looks good with the return of Terrence McGee from injury.
On the offensive side, Bills will look forward to have a better season with Ryan Fitzpatrick than last year. Fitzpatrick was average at best last season.
Their backfield seems to have become more threatening with the return of Fred Jackson from injury. Also, Stevie Jackson will be looking to have a thrilling season after signing a long-term deal.
Head-to-Head
Colts and Bills have played 66 games against each other. Colts have won 30 games while Bills have won 35 games. One game has ended in a tie.
Week 13: Detroit Lions
Last season Lions finished 10-6. The main force behind such an astounding season was their offensive line and running game.
Lions look forward to having a similar type of performance from their offensive team like they had in the last season.
They have players like Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford, Jahvid Best and Mikel Leshoure who make up a fierce offensive line that will be hard to beat.
Defence will have to show better productivity after a very poor 2011 season.
Head-to-Head
Colts and Lions have faced each other on 40 occasions. Colts have won 20 games and Lions have won 18 games. Two games were tied.
