2012 Season Preview: Dallas Cowboys host Cleveland Browns in Week 11, Washington Redskins in Week 12
After playing an away game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10, Dallas Cowboys will return home and play three games before once again travelling away.
Cowboys will host Cleveland Browns in Week 11 while their divisional team Washington Redskins will visit them in Week 12. In week 13, they will host the Eagles.
Week 11: Cleveland Browns
Browns have been longing to qualify for playoffs since the last nine seasons and their performance during the last four seasons is even more miserable.
Browns finished the 2011 season with only four victories and lost 12 games. This offseason they have made roster adjustments to strengthen their offence and it looks like they can challenge many opponents.
However, the Cowboys will still carry the upper hand as they have better offensive and defensive sides than Browns.
That being said, the Cowboys must exert pressure right from the start and must not give the Browns any chance of accelerating.
Head-to-head
Cowboys and Browns have faced each other 29 times. In their regular season encounters, Cowboys have won 11 while Browns have won 15 games. In their postseason clashes, Cowboys have one victory to their name while Browns have two victories to their credit.
Cowboys and Browns are going to play only one game against each other in the 2012 season.
Week 12: Washington Redskins
Although Redskins were pathetic in the 2011 season, all eyes will be on them in the 2012 season because of the offseason changes they have made.
They traded up their draft pick to select quarterback Robert Griffin III (RG3) as the second overall pick and now the rookie is expected to lift the team up.
RG3 is coming off a great college league career that might help the Redskins. However, the quarterback will need support from other players, especially his receivers and tight ends to make things happen for the team.
The Cowboys must try to enforce pressure on the rookie and if they manage to contain RG3 they can easily win this game.
Head-to-head
Cowboys and Redskins have faced each other 104 times. In their regular season meetings, Cowboys have won 62 while Redskins have won only 38 games. Two games were tied. In their postseason games, the Redskins have two victories under their belt while Cowboys
have not won any playoff game against Redskins. Cowboys and Redskins are going to play two games against each other in the 2012 season.
