Speaking to the media persons at the pre-tournament press conference on Friday, the 19-year-old right-handed batsman said that they have been practicing for the marquee tournament over the past two years and was confident the hard work
would pay dividends.
"This squad has been on a two-year progression plan for this event," said the Proteas skipper Chad Bowes, who has to date played only six List A matches.
"We have arrived in Australia to play good, solid cricket and we believe that we have the potential to be the first South Africa side to win the U-19 World Cup," the right-handed opening batsman added further
