2012 U-19 Cricket World Cup: England skipper Adam Ball tips Australia and Pakistan strong title contenders – Cricket News Update

“I think Australia have to be one of the favourites as they are playing in their own country and have won the tournament several times before,” said Ball while speaking to media reporters on the eve of curtain raiser against hosts, Australia, at Townsville,

“I also think Pakistan will be a very hard team to beat even in conditions that may not favour them,” he added further.
Australia, the hosts for the biennial tournament, have won the coveted trophy for record three times and will be defending the title, they had clinched in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, on the other hand, holds the record of winning back-to-back title,
in 2004 and 2006, and have also been in a very good nick of late. The Men in Green will go into the mega event at back of a 2-1 series win against Australia.
England had won their lone U-19 title under http://www.senore.com/Cricket/OA-Shah-c2134 back in 1998, and Ball has said that his team was looking forward to win their country another trophy this time around.
"It is definitely time for England to add to that previous success," said the 19-year-old London right-hander. "It’ll be very tough for us to repeat that but I feel the team has what it takes to do so.”
Meanwhile, Ball’s Australian counterpart William Bosisto has said that his side was not expecting an easy journey to title defence, despite having the home advantage.
