2012 U-19 Cricket World Cup: Group Stage Roundup

look like at the end of the preliminary stage:

Hosts and the defending champions Australia finished the group stage at the top of their pool, after remaining unbeaten in all of the three games they played. The Kangaroos started their title defence with a six wicket win against traditional rivals England,

England finished just behind Australia, winning two of their three matches. The only defeat the Poms have faced in the esteemed tournament so far had come at the hands of defending champions Australia.
Group B: Pakistan top group with six points

India were tipped as Group C favourites prior to the tournament, but the men from Caribbean defied all odds by beating the Men in Blue in the tournament opener by four wickets. They then comprehensively won their matches against PNG (nine wickets) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045
(six wickets), and finish the group stage at the top, with six points.
India finished the initial round as Group C No. 2, and will now play arch-rivals Pakistan in the quarterfinal.
Group D: South Africa lead the group with six points
