2012 Wuxi Classic snooker tournament: Judd Trump believes it is time step up

Previous snooker season was a tremendous finish for the former Word Snooker Championship runner-up, England’s Judd trump. He managed to claim a couple of important snooker tournaments including two events each from the 2011-12 Players Tour Championship (PTC)
and Premier League Snooker, along with the second most prestigious snooker trophy, the UK Championship.
Despite the fact that he crashed out of the 2012 World Snooker Championship at the hands of eventual finalist, compatriot Ali Carter in the second round, he managed to stay in the top ranks.
The tremendous display of his snooker skills brought him in the leading potters of the World and he occupied the World Number two spot in the World Snooker Rankings that were revised after the finish of the 2012 World Snooker Championship.
He has started his new season campaign with a tremendous victory in the 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker tournament against the Welshman Dominic Dale, who was his opponent in the first round of the 2012 World Snooker Championship.
The Englishman believes it is now time to step up and make an appearance early in the season because the line-up does not have the reigning World Snooker Champion the Rocket, Ronnie O’Sullivan and the former four-time World Snooker Championship winner from
Scotland, John Higgins. So he has a golden chance to hit a major ranking snooker title.
While speaking to World Snooker, Trump said, “I feel like now is my time to step-up and with Ronnie not playing in the first couple of tournaments and John Higgins, I think there's a gap there where someone just needs to just come through and start to dominate
the game again. I think that without Ronnie, there's not really as much to worry about.”
Trump has successfully made his way into the second round of the Wuxi Classic snooker tournament where he will be meeting his compatriot Robert Milkins. Trump is looking forward to hit the final spot of the event because he intends to have a strong start
to the new snooker season.
He has played Milkins once in the quarter-final stage of the 2011 Snooker Shootout where he lost to him. It will be exciting to see how far Trump can advance in the tournament as he seems to be in a good form and looking to put in a tremendous performance
in the event.
