is 2012 the day when the world is going to end? im really freaked out i heard about it on youtube and the history channel and im sorta freaked out

Well for one, the World will always be here, unless a massive astorid blows it up. What changes is the worlds ablity to support human life.

And as for 2012, i feel as if its a huge scare, If it does happen it happens, Like a teacher told me once; "Don't fret about things you can't change, cause it only makes you die young"

No its not the end of the world. It is however the last day of the ancient Mayan calender. And because of this some people have said that huge catastophies will destroy the world. But actually experts in Mayan culture have said that it is just a passing of the earth from one cycle to another. It's not so much that the world ends. Many cultures believed that it was a new age. It is pretty fascinating that so many ancient cultures understood astronomical ages and all predicted such an event.

well it hard to say Mayans guessed every other major disaster and not only natural ones they predicted the twin towers thing so thins could happen but maybe not the world but the world for man kind usually in end of world things that are true the highest of the food chain dies away so humans it is.that sucks though my freshman year in college.
