There's mixed views about the whole 2012 idea. The Aztecs believed that on this day the sun will be in a certain area of the galaxy that it has not been in since the beginning of time. Their calendar was built around the sun's position and since it will be at this certain place again, the calender will in a sense stop and start over again.

Some people believe that since the callender will end, it will be the end of time. This belief is supported by the presence of depictions of floods in Aztec art however, not all scholars believe this.

According to the Aztecs this is Armageddon - the end of the world.   I believe it's based off of planetary alignment and numerology oh and prophecy.

OMG, i worry about this everyday. My dad said the aztecs have it written on their calander, and so far everything theyve written has come true, I say its not gonna happen, but still i have doubt. He also says it has something to do with Planet X, and a New World Order, or something. IDK, hopefully not.
