2013 Hellas International: Kader Inal treads into main round of Women’s Singles event
Turkey’s Women’s Singles shuttler Kader Inal played with great conviction and cleared the qualifying round of Hellas International on Thursday, May 16, 2013.
This last encounter of qualifying round put her against Anastasia Dobrinina of Russia. Their meeting went on for 32 minutes before ending with decisive figures of 21-6, 18-21 and 21-13 for theTurkish.
The Turkish campaigner prevailed in the opening and ending segments of the showdown whereas the losing contestant could rise only in the second set.
Kader Inal laid foundation of her dominance in the beginning of first set and enjoyed an upper hand all the way to final moments. She unleashed a series of power packed strokes and pushed the opposing shuttler on the back foot.
At first, Kader Inal mounted pressure by claiming many valuable points without any interruption and then magnified the impact by registering an unassailable total of 11. She relished full benefits of this lead in latter part of the game and kept her competitor
under control.
Anastasia failed to come out of the influence of her rival and surrendered tamely in this crucial game. She surrendered after reading 6-21 score on the board.
However, next game saw her in a transformed character as she displayed splendid craft on the court and brought the contest to right balance. This time she did not repeat previous mistakes and played with great precision from very first stroke till the last
one.
The Russian lady raised her chances of success by ruling the court in the establishing rallies and then made best out of this edge in latter part of the game. After the one-minute interval, Anastasia lost grip for a short span of time but then few back-to-back
productive rallies reinstated her supremacy. She won this important set with an impressive result of 21-18.
The decider was supposed to be a tough trail for both contenders but it proved a dead contest after the one-minute interval.
Initially, both female shuttlers snapped at each other’s heels and remained close on the points table. However, Kader Inal managed to place a concluding figure of 21-13 and setup her next clash with Nicole Schaller in the main round.
