2013 NCVF Volleyball Championships to take place in Dallas – Volleyball news
The National Collegiate Volleyball Federation has recently announced the schedule of 2013 NCVF Volleyball Championships.
The 4th edition of the National Collegiate Championships will take place from April 4-6, 2013 and City of Dallas will play host to the event. The playing courts will be set up at the Dallas Convention Centre. In the process of identifying the most appropriate
venue for the 2013 NCVF Championship, the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation received a lot of help from USA Volleyball (USAV).
This year’s event has already been confirmed to take centre stage in Kansas City. The 2012 NCVF Collegiate Club Championships are scheduled to be kicked off on Thursday, April 5 and the event will be rounded off on April 7. A total of 360 have been registered
in both men’s and women’s categories of the tournament.
The Molten will be used as the official ball for the NCVF Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships. The men’s teams will compete in five divisions, while women will be classified in four divisions.
The first edition of the NCVF Championships was held in 2010 and it received 266 teams. The next year it continued to grow and attracted 336 teams in the competition. For now, a total of 360 teams will jump on board to vie for the national titles.
Likewise, the 2013 NCVF Championships are expected to receive even a higher number of teams. The local organisers of the NCVF Championships and USAV are hopeful that the event will attain more success in the coming years.
“USAV, in conjunction with the NCVF, is pleased to be returning to Dallas for the NCVF Championships in 2013. Both the NCVF and the City of Dallas have been great volleyball partners and we look forward to working together with both groups to stage this
wonderful event,” said USA Volleyball Senior Director Tom Pingel.
Meanwhile, the NCVF Tournament Director Doug Hinton said, “We are very excited to go the Lone Star State and the City of Dallas to showcase collegiate volleyball in its purest form and spirit of competition. Dallas has supported volleyball at all levels
– from juniors to college to adults to international events.”
