This Men’s Singles tie was a part of Group C match between Malaysia and Germany. Both male shuttlers remained head-to-head for 34 minutes before concluding this tussle with decisive figures of 21-18 and 21-18.
Although the Malaysian maestro had to face strong opposition, yet he managed to seal a splendid straight-set victory. On the other hand, the German campaigner showed a great fighting spirit and walked tall despite of losing this crucial game.

Chong Wei played impeccable badminton from very first stroke and showed consistency in his performance. Meanwhile, Domke Dieter made every effort to come out of his rival’s influence but his fluctuated performance proved the biggest hurdle in his way to
success.
