20mg Percocet & 1mg of Klonopin Dangerous?

I'm 20 years old, and I was prescribed 10 mg of percocet twice a day for a severe back problem due to a gymnastics accident. I am also on 0.5mg of Klonopin twice a day. So thats a total of 20mg of Percocet, and 1mg of Klonopin. I take it throughout the day not at once of course. I am aware of the fact that these are both very addictive BUT I am on them temporarily. Now my question is.. is this dangerous? I am 5'4 and I weigh about 125lbs. I don't need anyone to preach to me I just want to know if this is dangerous.

  1. I won't preach or tell you if it is dangerous...up to you and your physcian. I was on Klonopin for decades and came off it finally as it was affecting my ability to breath when I slept.  It was hard so I guess I was addicted, although there was never any high with it.  Short term, I would not worry but I would watch out with the Percoset which can be more addicting, I think.  I am no doctor so this is just a personal opinion.

  2. As long as your body is handling it ok...It's fine.  There is no reason not to take the Percocet and Klonopin together.  Drugs like Percocet and Klonopin are perfectly fine in the short term (and longer term for some people).  Since you don't plan on being on them for too long then I wouldn't worry too much about becoming addicted.

    I hope this helps!
