20th Birthday party for under $1000 AUD?

Question

I want to have a party for my 20th with my closest friends, between 10 and 15 people. The budget is around $1000. Does anyone have any ideas. ANY IDEAS AT ALL. I want to know what you people think about venues, themes, etc. EVERYTHING!

Additional Notes:

-The party will be in august and i live in Australia meaning this party will be in winter

-It is $1000AUD

You should rent a party bus or limo! In America, it's around $300 USD( I'm not sure what the conversion is to Australian dollars) for 8 hours.

If that doesn't strike your fancy, go to a restaurant!

Theme parties are rather fun, if your friends are the type of people who would join in.  In America people like Hawaiian theme parties, in the middle of the winter would be fun.  Easy decorations, food choices are endless, but the fun is the dressing up part.  I am having an Austin Powers theme party in October for my honey - everyone is already planning for this and getting there costumes ready.  We will serve all kinds of foods that have been mentioned in all 3 of the movies.   Have Fun!
