20th Century???

Question

what date's are classified at the 20th century? Is it the 1900's??? I need to know for my essay.

The twentieth century of the Common Era began on January 1, 1901 and ended on December 31, 2000, according to the Gregorian calendar.

The previous answer is correct. It can be somewhat confusing that for the most part, the years in the 20th century were 19__, but just remember the final year of X century  is the year X00. So the 13th Century was the century that ENDED in 1300, it started in 1201. We are now in the 21st century, and the final year of the century will be 2100.
